This is a companion piece to MacArthur's Freehold. Both are set in the 2020-2040 period. BOP
is another scenario, one probably more likely than MF. BOP is about a breakup of the Republic that
seems to be a pretty common idea: an attempt by a government that has achieved one-party rule and attempts
to institute an authoritarian rule along the lines of Russia, China, etc. Confiscation of weapons is the
most important task and when that is attempted it all goes south.
The south, essentially the states that formed the Confederacy in the Civil War forms one bloc while a large
part of the midwest/northwest forms another. Each forms a government and both wage war against the
government.
At my age it's unlikely to be finished. There are some fragments with some action sequences and that's
about it. They're first drafts, no attention to punctuation or grammar. Enjoy.
